English: B-17F-25-BO Flying Fortress 41-24554 "The Mustang", flew with the 403rd Bombardment Squadron, 43rd Bombardment Group in Australia and New Guinea. It completed 109 missions and claimed 17 Japanese aircraft before being returned to ther United States as War-Weary in late 1943. (USAAF Photo)
