Summary

Description
English: Asiatyrannus is a small tyrannosaur from the Late Cretaceous of what is now China. Its discovery revealed an example of niche partitioning, as it lived alongside Qianzhousaurus, a larger Asian tyrannosaur. The smaller size and more robust skull of Asiatyrannus indicate that it filled a niche often hypothesized to have been occupied by younger tyrannosaurs in the Late Cretaceous. Like all tyrannosaurs, Asiatyrannus was a carnivorous biped, and it grew to about 4 m in body length.
