English: Tazyeen (decoration) of Masjid al-Husaini, the host venue of the Dawoodi Bohra Ashara Mubaraka in Colombo, 2019. Such elaborate Tazyeen of the host venue is undertaken by the Department of Quranic Arts at Aljamea-tus-Saifiyah University and is usually based on Islamic themes and concepts, predominantly inspired by the Fatimid-era art and architecture. In 2019, the main theme of the decorations was Liwa-e Muhammed (SAW) (lit. Flag of Muhammad, the Islamic Prophet). Mufaddal Saifuddin, the 53rd Dai al-Mutlaq, presided over the sermons at Masjid al-Husaini in Colombo that year, attended by over 25,000 of his followers. All sermons were relayed live to co-host venue Masjid al-Saifee in Chennai, where over 30,000 had gathered.
