English: This picture was taken in Possession Island (Crozet Archipelago) at the site named "the elephant seal pool". This picture was taken in december 2002 by Nicolas Servera. You can see a pup of the subantarctic fur seal (Arctocephalus tropicalis) resting on the grass. On his foreleg, you can see a plastic tag used by the scientist in order to identify every individual.
Français : Cette photo a été prise sur l'île de la Possession (Archipel de Crozet) sur le site nommé "La Mare aux éléphants". Cette photo a été prise en décembre 2002 par Nicolas Servera. Vous pouvez voir un petit de l'otarie subantarctique (Arctocephalus tropicalis)qui se repose sur de l'herbe. Sur sa patte avant, vous pouvez voir une bague en plastique utilisée par les scientifiques pour reconnaitre les différents individus. |
