Summary

Description
English: This is a collage of photographs of an Anna's Hummingbird nest that fell from a tree in Ventura County, California. The macroscopic shots have been artificially brightened to enhance the view of detail from the original shot, with no intent to distort the image scientifically. The microscopic shots are original. The image is compared to a toothpick for size. The feather in the lower-right macroscopic shot may be from a hatched juvenile; it is only a few millimeters long at most. It can be seen in the upper right in the middle of the nest.
