  • Deutsch: Italien, Venedig: Władysław "Adzio" Moes (links, Mitte) mit seinen Schwestern und Freund Jan "Jas" Fudakowski. Er war das lebende Vorbild für die Romanfigur des Tadzio in Thomas Manns Erzählung "Der Tod in Venedig". Zum Zeitpunkt der Aufnahme (und als er Thomas Mann begegnete) war der junge Moes noch keine elf Jahre alt.
  • English: Italy, Venice: Władysław "Adzio" Moes (left, center) with his sisters and friend Jan "Jas" Fudakowski. He was the living model for the fictional character of Tadzio in Thomas Mann's novella "Death in Venice". At the time the picture was taken (and when he met Thomas Mann), the young Moes was not yet eleven years old.
