Description
English: Row houses located at 1614 (left) and 1616 (right) 19th Street NW in the Dupont Circle neighborhood of Washington, D.C. Built in 1883, the Romanesque Revival style homes are designated contributing properties to the Dupont Circle Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

Previous residents of 1614 19th Street NW include Maryland Senator Ephraim King Wilson II, General Henry F. Clarke, Commander Aaron Konkle Hughes, Tennessee Representative Thetus W. Sims, Wyoming Representative William H. Harrison (during his childhood), The Washington Post managing editor Ira Elbert Bennett, and Judge Advocate General of the U.S. Army Kenneth J. Hodson. In 1916, the initial gathering of the Arts Club of Washington took place at the home (hosted by Bertha Noyes).

Previous residents of 1616 19th Street NW include ichthyologist Tarleton Hoffman Bean, Costa Rican diplomat Joaquín Bernardo Calvo (the office of Costa Rica's legation was also housed in the building), Rose Wallach Meriam (daughter of Mayor Richard Wallach), Swedish embassy attaché Commander Göran Wahlström, California Representative Barclay Henley, and Iowa Representative Maurice Connolly.
