Summary

Description

A Kirtley 690 class 0-4-4T. The number 797 would make this one of a batch of twenty built by Dübs in 1870. These were all rebuilt by Johnson with new boilers and were numbered 1200-1225 at the time of the Grouping.

This photo was taken from an old original photo we came across while helping to clear the house of a deceased friend. I have uploaded it to Flickr in the hope that it might be interesting to steam enthusiasts.
