Vladimir Khodyrev (born May 19, 1930) -- since 1990, a president of the Saint-Petersburg regional scientific and industrial organization "Tetrapolis". He is also a president of noncommercial partnership "North-West Transport Union". Chairman of the bank board, "Tetrapolis" (Saint Petersbourg). In the past he served as a governmental figure and a belonged to the Communist party.

Biography

Born in Stalingrad on May 19, 1930. He lived there during the World War II, as a witness but also served as a defender of the city[1].

In 1953 he graduated Admiral Makarov State Maritime Academy, where he later was a postgraduate student. In 1954, he joined Communist Party of the Soviet Union.

From 1955 until 1957 he was a navigator of a motor ship, "Lena". Took part in the first Soviet Antarctic Expedition, building Mirny Station in 1956.

Since 1957, he worked as a junior researcher and a head of the sector at the Central Marine Research and Design Institute (CNIIMF)

In 1961—1966 he worked as an instructor for the Department of Transport and Communications of the Leningrad Regional Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (CPSU). He also supervised the sea and river fleet.

In 1966, he temporarily resigned from his employment at the Leningrad Institute of Water Transport (LIVT), where he created a sector for the design of river-sea ships and a faculty of boatmasters for these vehicles.
