Funko is an upcoming American animated comedy film produced by Warner Bros. Pictures Animation and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. The film will be directed by Mark Dindal and Teddy Newton and written by Newton.
Production
[edit]A film based on the Funko toys is in development at Warner Animation Group.[1][2] It will be the first theatrically released film to crossover Marvel and DC Comics characters; given that characters to be included will be Deadpool, Harley Quinn, and Wonder Woman.[3] The film was announced in active development on September 16, 2019, with directors Mark Dindal and Teddy Newton attached to the project.[4] In February 2021, Newton was confirmed to write the screenplay, in addition to his directing duties.[5]
