Hailing from Jalandhar, Punjab, Nijjar’s journey into music was influenced by his rich cultural heritage and a deep love for Punjabi music. His father, a former farmer, transitioned to the trucking business in the United States, while Nijjar pursued his passion for music. Later, his family relocated to the United States in 2015, and his upbringing significantly shaped his musical style, merging the traditional sounds of Punjab with contemporary global influences.

Nijjar debuted in the music industry in 2018 with the single "Tension," a collaboration with Karan Aujla. The song’s success brought him immediate recognition, with fans recognizing him and taking pictures with him after its release. Self-taught in production, writing and composition, Nijjar made significant personal sacrifices to shape his music career.

Breakthrough and Collaborations

Nijjar had a major breakthrough with the release of “Clockin,” his first hit single.[3] The song was appreciated for its attention to detail, power-packed visuals and high-energy music. After a hit collaboration with Karan Aujla in 2018, Nijjar's collaboration with Yo Yo Honey Singh for the song “Accounts,” further highlighted his talent and ability to take over the industry. The song was a part of his first album “His-Story,” which contained 10 tracks and has crossed over 30 million audio streams across all streaming platforms.
