Nakshi Kanthar Jamin: A Tale of Two Sisters is a 2024 Bangladeshi war drama government grant film it is based on the Bangladesh Liberation War and the story of the film is based on Hasan Azizul Haq's novel Bidhobader Kotha. It is produced by Farzana Munni under the banner of TM Films and screenplay, dialogue and direction are by Akram Khan.[1] It features Jaya Ahsan, Fariha Shams Sheuti, Iresh Zaker, Rawnak Hasan, Dibbya Jyoti, Soumya Jyoti, Labannya Chowdhury, Adrita Ibnat Khan and many more. It is last released film of the year 2024.[2]
The film won the Best Feature Film award at the 14th Busan Peace Film Festival in South Korea and the was nominated for the UNESCO Gandhi Medal at India's IFFI ICFT UNESCO Gandhi Medal. The film was received the Third Best Film Award in the Asian Film Competition at the Bangalore International Film Festival[3][4] and the film was nominated for the competition category of the 19th Barcelona Human Rights Film Festival.[5] The film was shown at the 7th London Bengali Film Festival in 2024 and has won several prestigious awards in several international festivals.[6]
