Mayatrix & The Psychics is a Western Australian psychedelic rock^[1] band, founded in 2013 as Moana by frontwoman Moana Lutton aka Moana Mayatrix^[2].

The band frequently plays across Australia, and has played support acts for Venom Inc^[3], Ocean Alley^[4] and fellow Perth local Abbe May. In 2024, they were the national support act for English hard-rock band The Cult^[5], including a performance at the iconic Sydney Opera House.

Critical acclaim

X-Press Magazine scored debut album In The Allure^[6] a 7 out of 10^[7], and featured EP A Mouthful Of Birds^[8] among 2014’s Best Album^[9].

2022’s Temple^[10] was nominated for WAM Song Of The Year in the heavy/metal category.^[11]
