Peter Ombati (born 27 December 2007), known professionally as Manager Smartboy, is a Kenyan artist manager and promoter.[1] He manages Nova Flow Boyz, Yozboy and Koppa Gekon's musical career.[2] He is from Nairobi city and is the son of Nancy Magembe.
Early life
[edit]Manager smartboy was born on 27 December 2007,[3] in Eldoret, Kisii County, into a family of four siblings. He is the secondborn, grew raised in Nairobi with his family. He was reared by a single mother and has a brother and two sisters, to Kisii parents. He attended Supaloaf Primary School for his primary education.[4]
Career
[edit]Inspired by Don Jazzy, Sallam Sk and Scooter Braun, Manager smartboy launched his career in 2023. Initially, his efforts garnered little attention, but he persevered.[5] In 2024, he launched his video on the internet to introduce himself to the people with Mr handsome's help.[6] He released his debut single Wimbo wa Historia featuring Leyla Mohammed which got large number of views on YouTube.[7][8]
