  • 2009 - Kohshin Limited Liability Company is established. Started trading company business to purchase laser-related products from domestic manufacturers and sell them to customers.
  • 2010 - Optipedia, the company's own media outlet, goes public.
  • 2011 - Reorganized as a joint stock company and established Kohkyo Co. Began selling laser module products (experimental kits) in the manufacturer business.
  • 2012 - Head office relocated to Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto. Started fee-based job placement business specializing in optics and lasers.
  • 2013 - Head office relocated from Kokon Karasuma to the Daigo Hase Building in Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto.
  • 2014 - In the trading company business, the company begins importing and selling laser-related products. In the manufacturer business, the company begins selling its own software, the Beam Profiler software.[3]
  • 2015 - Began selling beam profiler hardware in the manufacturer business.
  • 2016 - Free laser marker trials (laser engraving and printing, photo marking) started.
