Draft:François Mbassi

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

François Mbassi is a performer of the martial art sambo.[1] He is the head[2] of the Cameroonian Sambo Federation[3] and has played a significant role in promoting and developing sambo in Cameroon.[4] Under his leadership, Cameroon has become one of the leading countries in African sambo, regularly participating in international competitions and achieving notable results.[1]

He is also the Secretary General of the African Sambo Confederation.[5]

Mbassi has expressed his vision for sambo to become the second most popular sport in Cameroon, after football. He believes that increasing the number of international competitions will help attract more young people to the sport and enhance its popularity.[1]
