The Central University of Kinshasa (French: Université centrale de Kinshasa) is a public university in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It is located in Kinshasa, the capital and largest city of the country. The university conducts its academic programs in French and serves as an important institution for higher education and research.
History
[edit]The Central University of Kinshasa gained autonomy in 2010 through Ministerial Decree No. 157/MINESU/CABMIN/EBK/PK/2010, issued on 27 September 2010. This decree, part of a larger reform of higher education, aimed to decentralize educational governance and improve access to higher education across the country.[1] According to Mutombo's analysis, this reform was critical in strengthening public universities in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and fostering regional academic growth.[2]
Faculties
