She gained prominence in 2020 with her viral single "LEMONS," which addressed the challenges of bullying and self-empowerment, resonating widely on social media platforms. Brye’s music explores personal themes such as identity, mental health, and self-discovery, making her a distinctive voice for her generation.
Early Life
[edit]Brye was born to Jenny Bozarth Sebring and Bryan Sebring and raised in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago, alongside her sister and two brothers. Growing up in a musical family, Brye developed a strong interest in music from an early age. She began performing in local theater productions at the age of seven and was posting covers of popular songs on YouTube as a teenager. By the time she was 12, Brye started writing her own songs, and music became a central part of her life. 2022: Debut Album Dream Girl

Songs like the title track "Dream Girl" and "Hold Me" reflect her introspective and relatable songwriting style. The album marked her transition from viral fame to a more established presence in the music industry.
2023–2024: RECOVER
[edit]In 2023, Brye released her second album, RECOVER, a nine-track project addressing mental health, societal expectations, and resilience. The album featured tracks such as "NOTHING!" (confronting online body shaming), "Jenna" (a duet with Addison Grace about queer love), and "Direct Message" (inspired by body dysmorphia). A deluxe edition of RECOVER was released in 2024, including collaborations with Cavetown and additional tracks that expanded on the album's themes.
