- Comment: The creator of this draft Wikiwookie543 has created multiple BLPs about board members of this organization such as Draft:Anila Ali, Draft:Soraya Deen, Draft:Farhana Khorshed, which strongly suggests a COI. — Saqib (talk I contribs) 10:55, 31 October 2024 (UTC)
- Comment: If/when accepted, should be published at the full name of the organisation, "American Muslim & Multifaith Women’s Empowerment Council". -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 05:50, 16 October 2024 (UTC)

Issues
[edit]Women's rights. One of AMMWEC's issues is empowering Muslim women, be that through teaching them about their rights regarding domestic violence, job discrimination, and family law.[5]
Interfaith contacts between Muslims and Jews. In June 2022, AMMWEC helped organize several Pakistani-Americans to travel to Israel.[6] In December 2022, AMMWEC joined SHARAKA in a trip to Israel and Bahrain to increase "understanding between Muslims and Jews."[7]
Hamas and October 7,2023. Shortly following the October 7, 2023 attack, AMMWEC held an interfaith peace vigil outside of the White House in solidarity with the victims.[8] Anila Ali, AMMWEC’s board chair and president, attended a screening of the film Screams Before Silence at the White House, and spoke at another screening of the film in New York City.[9] In December 2023, AMMWEC joined with the Combat Antisemitism Movement (CAM) for a solidarity mission to Israel to oppose Hamas’ October 7, 2023 attack against Israel.[10] Anila Ali also stood with Israel's Ambassador to the US Michael Herzog in calling on Hamas to release the hostages.[11] For the one year anniversary of the October 7 attack, Anila Ali published an op-ed in Newsweek on her thoughts on the attack.[12]
Interfaith efforts. In July 2024, Soraya Deen spoke at Notre Dame’s Religious Liberty Summit about fostering better relations between Muslim and Jewish communities after the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, 2023.[13] In January 2017, AMMWEC joined an interfaith town hall in Newport Beach, CA to discuss hate crimes against Jews and Muslims.[14]
