The 2025 Kabaddi World Cup is the fourth edition of the Kabaddi World Cup held under the authority of the World Kabaddi Federation (WKF).[1][2] It will be hosted in the West Midlands, England during 17-23 March 2025.[3][1] It will be the first time a Kabaddi World Cup has been hosted outside of Asia.[2][4] There will be a men's and women's edition of the event.[5][6]
History
[edit]A 2020 edition of the Kabaddi World Cup was scheduled, but then was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. All of the previous three editions of the World Cup have taken place in India.[7]
The decision to award the 2025 World Cup to the West Midlands region of England was in part due to its hosting of the British Kabaddi League and the 2022 Commonwealth Games.[8]
