The 2015 Santa Catarina bus accident occurred on 15 March 2015, when a tourist bus veered off a road and plunged approximately 100 metres (330 ft) into a ravine near the city of Joinville in Santa Catarina state in Brazil.[3] At least 51 people died and seven were injured in the crash.[1][4][5][6]
