If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft: Franklin Obeng-Odoom requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Information icon Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did at Dr Franklin Obeng-Odoom, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use your sandbox for that. Thank you. Warning icon Please stop. If you continue to remove maintenance templates without resolving the problem that the template refers to, as you did at Franklin Obeng-Odoom, you may be blocked from editing. S0091 (talk) 20:28, 22 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest

Information icon Hello, Naqqash6. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Franklin Obeng-Odoom, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. S0091 (talk) 20:23, 22 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

It is clear you have an affiliation with Franklin Obeng-Odoom so you need to cease editing the article and certainly removing any of the maintenance tags or you may be blocked. S0091 (talk) 20:30, 22 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I donot have any affiliation with Obeng-Odoom, i have solve issues in article kindly remove maintenance tags or kindly guide me what more can i do to remove those maintenance templates thanks Naqqash6 (talk) 11:47, 23 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
According to you, the photo is your work which means you know him unless that is not true. If is not your work, then it is a copyright violation so needs to be deleted. Please clarify. S0091 (talk) 16:29, 23 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I do not know him personally I ask him to use his photo through email and gave me permission for that. Naqqash6 (talk) 17:04, 23 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, so it is not your work. In order for the image to be used on Wikipedia, the copyright holder has to release it under a compatible license, which is Veikko Somerpuro not Obeng-Odoom. An editor on Commons (different project than the English Wikipedia) has requested it be deleted so you will need to handle it there. Also, just make sure we have everything under the COI guideline covered, are you being paid or work for a firm that is being paid to create the article? S0091 (talk) 18:31, 24 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
ok thanks, no i am not being paid. Naqqash6 (talk) 18:58, 24 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Naqqash6. In the future please be mindful of copyrights. Do not copy other people's work and claim it is your own. Thus far, you have had a couple copyright violations with text and images, which can have legal repercussions for both you and Wikipedia. S0091 (talk) 19:05, 24 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Tammy Tran requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, a group of people, an individual animal, an organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content, or an organized event that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

A tag has been placed on File:Obeng-Odoom (Professor).jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused duplicate or lower-quality copy of another file on Wikipedia having the same file format, and all inward links have been updated.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". License tagging for File:Minh-Tam Tran Lawyer.png

Thanks for uploading File:Minh-Tam Tran Lawyer.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 16:30, 29 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Naqqash6. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Tammy Tran, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being employed (or being compensated in any way) by a person, group, company or organization to promote their interests. Paid advocacy on Wikipedia must be disclosed even if you have not specifically been asked to edit Wikipedia. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Naqqash6. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Naqqash6|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. 331dot (talk) 18:28, 29 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I am not get paid anything, i am new at wikipedia and learning... Naqqash6 (talk) 19:34, 29 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You created two articles and have uploaded photos about those subjects both of which you state the subjects have emailed the photos to you. One you stated you were the the owner which was not true. That means you know them in some way. One might be understandable but not two. Also, unless they are the photographer or are the copyright holder they cannot give you or anyone else permission to use it. S0091 (talk) 19:47, 29 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
when i was writing article on them i find there email, i dont know about licence so i thought it is the best way to get permission from them through email that why i emailed them and ask for their permission to use picture in their article and they replied with permission. Naqqash6 (talk) 20:05, 29 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
kindly guide and advice me, how can i get permission from them so i could upload their picture.
thanks Naqqash6 (talk) 20:07, 29 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The last thing you need to worry about are photos. If you do not know about copyright then you shouldn't be uploading images. Period. The most crucial is ensuring the subject about which you are writing meets the relevant notability guidelines. Otherwise you are wasting your time and that of other editors. S0091 (talk) 20:20, 29 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
ok thanks, i will not upload any image unless i learn all about copyright. i will focus on notibility guideline.. Naqqash6 (talk) 20:52, 29 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
How are you selecting the subjects of your edits? 331dot (talk) 21:03, 29 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
i wanted to write on different professions first i wrote about a professor then i wrote about a lawyer.i also wanted to write about some sport persons so i could learn more. Naqqash6 (talk) 05:15, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You're not picking them at random. Why did you write about one lawyer and not another? 331dot (talk) 07:15, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Told you professions came to my mind was professor , Lawyer, Politician, sportsman... Naqqash6 (talk) 07:41, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
There are millions of lawyers in the world. Why did you pick Tammy Tran to write about? You didn't pick her at random. 331dot (talk) 07:44, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If i pick another you will ask why i pick this one so what would i do. Naqqash6 (talk) 07:46, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If you continue to be evasive I will block you as an undisclosed paid editor. 331dot (talk) 07:48, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
my parents live in houston texas, so i google lawyer in houston and find her on google Naqqash6 (talk) 07:50, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
i am very sorry if you find it evasive.. Naqqash6 (talk) 07:52, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Is that how you chose Professor Obeng-Odoom too? 331dot (talk) 07:56, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
i was searching for profeesors there were alot of professor who already have wikipedia arcle on there name.. i choose few but i was willing to upload their picture too so my article look better i asked permission from them to use picture through email only Franklin obeng odoom replied so that why i created article on him Naqqash6 (talk) 08:00, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
As you have become aware, copyright usually belongs to the photographer, not to the person depicted in an image. It's not the depicted person's copyright to give away. As noted, photos are the last thing you should worry about. 331dot (talk) 08:03, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
yes i know it now but i was not aware of this when i was writing article on obeng odoom and tammy tran. Naqqash6 (talk) 08:05, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
can you please advice me as well how to choose a person it will be beneficial to me and help me to choose my next article Naqqash6 (talk) 08:04, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Writing a new article is not the only or even best way to contribute to Wikipedia. It's the most difficult thing to do here. Many users are very successful editors here without creating a single new article. There are almost 7 million articles to work on, most of which need significant help. You haven't had your account a month yet; we usually recommend that new users interested in creating articles first spend much time editing existing articles, to gain experience and knowledge as to how Wikipedia works and what is being looked for in article content. You had one draft deleted and another that you moved into the encyclopedia yourself(not a good idea) is nominated for deletion and will likely be so. I would suggest that you gain some more experience before you get into creating articles. 331dot (talk) 08:12, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

thank for your advice i will be helpful Naqqash6 (talk) 08:20, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You mentioned you are interested in learning about sports but that is a broad topic. Which sport? I also suggest not writing about living people because Wikipedia's Biographies of living people policy is strict. S0091 (talk) 19:46, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Most probably about Cricket Naqqash6 (talk) 04:32, 31 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I suggest checking out WikiProject cricket where they have information and task lists. S0091 (talk) 15:21, 31 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, Naqqash6, welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. Your editing pattern indicates that you may be using multiple accounts or coordinating editing with people outside Wikipedia, such as Shariq Khan 1 (talk · contribs). Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Adam Maijo (Runner).jpg

Thank you for uploading File:Adam Maijo (Runner).jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Johnj1995 (talk) 19:00, 12 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
