Welcome to my Page

I am very much a part-time editor, and I mainly remove vandalisn when it is brought to my attention on various forum posts.

Thank you for uploading File:Whats this bird.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Skier Dude (talk) 20:03, 26 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when they said it. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 14:16, 9 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Ahunt. I noticed that you made a comment on the page Talk:de Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver that didn't seem very civil, so it may have been removed. Wikipedia is built on collaboration, so it's one of our core principles to interact with one another in a polite and respectful manner. If you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. - Ahunt (talk) 15:23, 9 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent editing history at de Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. BilCat Now that time has passed and my original edit was accepted soon after the complaint above. Let it be known that it was complainant who was doing the reverts on my edits (and others), because he felt that the person who was killed was not known to him (and thus not famous in his eyes). The person who died was famous, so by the rules (general accepted consensus on accidents) it was a significant accident, and should be included, and the complainant should not have reverted my edit. In my opinion, at the time, the complainant should have used the talk page before reverting. I understand the he has/had put a lot of work into editing the page page in question, however that should not be a factor in how editors behave. Boopolo (talk) 01:49, 18 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure why you're posting this now, or what you expect me to do about it. Edit warring is an action an editor makes, and it doesn't matter if someone else was reverting also or not, or if the content was restored by someone else. You are responsible for your own actions, not someone else. BilCat (talk) 03:13, 18 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I am posting this now, to set the record straight, here on my own talk page. I do not wish you to do anything. Thank you Boopolo (talk) 08:33, 18 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2021 Elections voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2021 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 6 December 2021. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2021 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:25, 23 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
