I am retired and living in Bury, Greater Manchester.
I was born in London, and lived in the UK till the age of 55 when I emigrated to my motherland, Greece. I lived on the island of Crete, near to Neapoli in Lassithi for 17 years until 2020. I returned to the UK for family reasons. I miss the sun.
I qualified from High Wycombe College in Buckinghamshire in 1969 with an H.N.D in Business Studies. I worked for various companies in executive positions in market research, marketing, and advertising. In later years I became involved in setting up computer systems for marketing purposes, finally setting up my own business to do this. Although I became quite competent in the use of computers, since I have retired it appears I know nothing at all about them.
I very much like the inclusiveness of Wikipedia, and the feeling of community. I sometimes feel that certain aspects are not very user-friendly.
I would like to contribute in some way and have started by translating articles from Greek to English, and by doing minor polishing and expansion of articles where I have knowledge.
