Date of birth

There is a disagreement between the date of birth now in the article (1860) and that cited in the BMJ (1852). We thus need a proper further authoritative citation for the actual date of birth. Fiddle Faddle (talk) 22:10, 15 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

His age is given as 68 in "News." Aberdeen Journal, 2 Mar. 1929, p. 3. British Library Newspapers, http://tinyurl.galegroup.com/tinyurl/6WFGY6. Accessed 12 May 2018. Likewise in "Scientist Not Guilty." Derby Daily Telegraph, 1 Mar. 1929, p. 1. British Library Newspapers, http://tinyurl.galegroup.com/tinyurl/6VWrN1. Accessed 12 May 2018. DOB is given as 1860 in https://www.nature.com/articles/bdjteam201450. Do you reckon these are good enough corroboration for 1860? Alarichall (talk) 10:00, 12 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
