TWO DIFFERENT PERSONS HERE!!

I don't know who the idiot is who wrote this biography, but the Guardian article of 8th June 2009 that refers to the appointment of Steve McMahon's brother as Liverpool reserves coach (referenced on the main page of the biography) clearly states that John McMahon is Steve's YOUNGER brother. Steve McMahon was born in Liverpool in 1961, so the John McMahon born in Manchester in 1949 is not his brother!

I'm not an expert on professional footballers, but it seems to me that there have been two John McMahon's involved in the game and the writer of this biography has mixed them up. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Johnpretty010 (talkcontribs) 15:26, 2 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This colossal mess has finally been sorted out. Thanks. Chris Cunningham (user:thumperward) (talk) 14:44, 6 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

and again...

Details of the coach had again been added to this article. He's just about notable for the caretaker spells at Tranmere and Shrewsbury, so I've split them (see the template above) so the coach has an article at John McMahon (football manager). cheers, Struway2 (talk) 11:47, 23 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
