HSC 355 -02: Bioethics

[edit]

I am a student at California State University East Bay, and for my HSC 355-02 Bioethics course, I am need to choose an article from a topic of bioethics and find one on wikipedia and edit with any new information related to the topic. So, I choose to do mine article on Immortality, and as I was reading through it I found most of section on most common religions, but the hinduism one that I found interesting because I noticed that most people just think that India is filled with Hindus, but they should also consider the other people are there too like Sikh community as well. So I added the Sikh religion and it showed how the views of immortality for the Sikh religion is somewhat similar to hindus, but not all the way. By the way, the Sikh religion is the youngest religion in all over of India.

== Article Evaluation == Article Title : HIV/AIDS in India

[edit]

Everything in the article is relevant to the article topic of HIV/AIDS in India. No there is not anything that distracted me in the article. The article on the HIV/AIDS in India is neutral, because it does not show only one side and it does try to persuade anyone to believe one particular point. Instead, it is just straight on stating the information. No there are not any claims, or frames, that appear to be based on bias toward to one particular position. No neither the viewpoints in the article are over represented or under represented. Yes, the links do work, and the sources support the claims in the article. Yes, each fact referenced with an appropriate, and reliable reference. The information comes from the sources are not all reliable sources because they do not open up when we click on them, but they are neutral sources. Some of reference to the information is no longer up to date because the reference link comes to not be found if clicked on it, such as the reference link, " India: Driving forward an effective AIDS response"[1] Nope there is nothing missing or that could be added to this article, because it basically covers everything that is needed to cover on this topic. On the Talk page of the article, their are kinds of conversations going on behind the scenes about how to represent this topic is the following: is that to remove any copyright problems inputted in the article. The person that created this article, did edit it and removed any information that was an copyright issue. The article is rated as satisfactory. This article is part of the following Wikiprojects of : WikiProject AIDS, WikiProject India, and WikiProject Medicine.

We have discussed in class about this topic of HIV/AIDS more of the American community, but not at all on the based of the Indian community yet.
