Hello Fascination Artwork

[edit]

Shouldn't someone mention that they had to change their artwork for this album? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.176.142.30 (talk) 09:02, 21 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If you could find a citation (I just searched Google News, and I can't), or maybe a statement from the band themselves that comes from an official website, then we could add that to this page and the album's page. talkingbirds 14:36, 21 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Well they had to change their artwork. They changed it all on myspace. There is a thread about it on Absolutepunk.net but that's about it —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.176.142.30 (talk) 22:40, 21 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

What happened?

[edit]

This page used to be really good and informative. It was very sophisticated. Almost as if Breathe Carolina themselves edited it. Can we bring this article back to the way it was before please?

Response: Somebody decided to change back to small and false information. I brought back the really informative stuff along with adding more. I hope you like. —Preceding unsigned comment added by XDkiller974 (talkcontribs) 05:23, 8 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Right now, the article has a slanted POV. The Biography section doesn't even have any citations. I'm going to attempt to clean it up over the next few days (or when I can get to it). talkingbirds 17:29, 13 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Biography

[edit]

It's written like a story or something... just doesn't feel right... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.204.228.104 (talk) 14:37, 16 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Plagiarism

[edit]

I was checking out the citations to the article to improve the (now defunct) Biography section, and it was completely plagiarized from [1]. I redid it with a new name, detailing about their beginning and talking about Gossip, but it's pretty short. If any of you can help out, that would be great. Be bold! Just remember that plagiarism isn't OK at Wikipedia :) talkingbirds 15:38, 18 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Genre 1

[edit]

Okay, whoever thinks they're a metalcore band is seriously the most delusional half-wit in the world. They have no idea what "metalcore" is. Their new stuff is obviously pop punk. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.59.87.118 (talk) 05:17, 15 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Quite simply, the group IS NOT metalcore. Adding metalcore to the infobox, therefore, is vandalism. NOTHING should be added ANYWHERE on ANY PAGE on Wikipedia without reliable references, and no reliable references call the group metalcore. Their style does not fit the basic definition of the genre whatsoever. The group is primarily electro rock and electronica. Due to their occasional use of screamed vocals they have been referred to as crunkcore and electronicore. Metalcore is a MUCH more abrasive sub-genre of hardcore punk and heavy metal, however, and the band does not even BEGIN to be defined as such. ♫ Chris-B-Koolio ♫ ... (Talk) 19:04, 15 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It was disgusting really to even see that genre on the page. Carolina is barely even post-hardcore minus songs such as "Tripped and Fell in Portland". Yeah they play instruments while live even in their fully electronic songs and it's rarer to find real instruments in studio recordings of their songs, but they plan on having more elaborate instrument-driven songs on their album so yeah they're just this electronic pop rock dancecore-whatever group. -- GunMetal Angel 19:30, 27 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Metalcore with Breathe Carolina? No way in hell. I can say only Screamo, especially with their "Gossip EP" but they are not metalcore. The hacker did that as a joke, well a horrible beyond joke if that. I'm a kid who doesn't listen to screamo/metalcore all that often I actually listen to death metal, black metal, jazz fusion, progressive rock/metal, grindcore, and etc.--they are NOT metalcore. These guys have talent compared to BrokeNCYDE, you'd have to admit that one. I don't listen to these guys all that often, but they're not metalcore at all, because there's no metal influenced in these guys work; only punk, rap, and electronic influences. They're mainly an pop-punk, electronica and crunk sound. panicpack121 10:25, 20 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism

[edit]

Someone changed the genre to "Gayness in the anus" and the title "Hell Is What You Make It" to "Hell is in my pants. Wanna see?" I took the liberty (while not logged in) to change the genre back to "Electropop" and the title back to its original title. Metalhead865 (talk) 02:06, 15 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Jewish musical groups

[edit]

There is an annoying trend on Wikipedia to categorize people and/or bands with being Jewish. I removed the category until there is reliable proof. Leor Natanov (talk) 22:15, 30 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Trend? Both of them are Jewish, especially Schmitt. It's not a "trend". Reverting your edit now • GunMetal Angel 23:04, 30 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I haven't found any citation or mention of it on the article. I think it will help... Leor Natanov (talk) 00:01, 6 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Genre 2

[edit]

I think just one or two genres are too general, the band touches more genres and all of them are sourced in Musical style and arrangement so we don't have to quite some because this is not describing ALL the sound of the band. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Justasaddream (talkcontribs) 08:46, 3 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The main genres that appear in sources are Electronic rock and post-hardcore, I already explained to you that there should not be so many genres in the infobox and it should be generalized per Template: Infobox musical artist#Genre. Unless you would rather it just be Rock? Notice how most hip hop articles just say Hip hop, not Gangsta rap or Alternative hip hop. Small subgenres like "crunkcore" that only two reviews refer to them as, or having "electronica", is just ridiculous. They are a band not Skrillex. This, NBC, iTunes, AllMusic, This, This, and [2] all call them a "electronic rock" duo. It is substially clear that, that is their primary genre. So unless you can prove it otherwize I will be changing it back shortly per Template: Infobox musical artist. STATic message me! 12:29, 3 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

"Early" electronic rock?

[edit]

How the hell are these guys in the genre of early electronic rock (1960's)!? If this is meant to mean their early music is electronic rock, it's terribly ambiguous as is and should be phrased and/or displayed differently so it doesn't look absurd and mislead the casual reader.

Tommy Cooperman is involved in a lawsuit. On December 13, 2022, The Securities and Exchange Commission filed a lawsuit against him and seven other individuals who allegedly earned $100 million via stock manipulation.
