Murder of Christina Marie Williams was a Social sciences and society good articles nominee, but did not meet the good article criteria at the time. There may be suggestions below for improving the article. Once these issues have been addressed, the article can be renominated. Editors may also seek a reassessment of the decision if they believe there was a mistake.

This article reads like a Public Service Announcement, more than an encyclopedia article. Is there anything notable about this person at all? Thousands of people go missing every year. —thames15:33, 20 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed, AfD. The person who posted this is just trying to get the word out to as many people as possible, and I have nothing but sympathy for them. But this is an encyclopedia. Enough said. --Ashenai15:42, 20 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Just a note, while I was editing, I guess somebody else was, so I may have undid some changes you made, sorry (when I started editing no other changes were yet made). I made the two large wanted posters thubmnails to the right-side. I don't think there presence, is a problem. There is no longer an urgent request for action, which was the main difficulty of the original version --rob16:13, 20 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I was just looking at your edits. Excellent work! The page is now a lot more in line with the rest of Wikipedia. Meanwhile, I've found out that I was mistaken; this kidnapping was indeed notable. I rescind my nomination of the page for AfD, and I've changed my vote to keep. This will make a fine Wikipedia article. --Ashenai16:16, 20 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately I don't feel this article is qualified, despite that the topic is interesting and a great deal of references have been used to verify information. There isn't any obvious issues with the writing style itself, but the article needs a great deal of expansion, especially with investigation that occurred after her remains were found. I have actually planned on expanding the article myself, yet I have yet to make time for it. --GouramiWatcherTalk04:04, 3 November 2015 (UTC) Done[reply]
Gourami Watcher, did intend to mark this nomination as "failed?" If you did, then you should follow the instructions at WP:GAREVIEW for wrapping up reviews of articles that do not pass. For what it's worth, I agree that this article needs to be expanded, per the WP:GACR breadth requirement. -- Notecardforfree (talk) 18:30, 21 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the move request was: The page was moved to "Disappearance of Christina Marie Williams" as per nomination/WP:1EVENT. But as the (criminal) case itself is not conclusive of kidnapping or homicide, the "Kidnapping of", and "Murder of" had to be excluded. —usernamekiran(talk)23:26, 24 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Disappearance of usually describes cases in which the body is never found, Kidnapping of would refer to clear proof of abduction, Killing of, Murder of and Death of may all be considered, but the discussion at Talk:Death of JonBenét Ramsey/Archive 2#Requested move 20 September 2016 developed a disputed consensus for Death of due to the fact that no one has been convicted for the homicide. My first choice would be Death of and my second, Disappearance of, since most of the article is about the disappearance and the search for the body which was not found until seven months had elapsed. —Roman Spinner(talk)(contribs)16:18, 16 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
