I don't think so. There seems to be no use of this outside cardinals and popes; for example see Rowan Williams and Anders Wejryd. In particular, "Ayatollah" is not used in Ruhollah Khomeini, Ali Khamenei, or Mahmoud Taleghani. --Saforrest 03:23, 10 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
