[edit]Does anyone know if this waterfall was also once known as Buttermilk Falls? I read an 1878 newspaper article describing some of the scenery in this area, and it mentioned Chimney Rock, Hickory Nut Gap, and Buttermilk Falls as all being close to one another, but I cannot find any reference to a Buttermilk Falls in North Carolina (though I haven't yet checked Powell's Gazzetteer).
