Merger proposal

[edit]

I propose to merge 2021 United States capitol protests into 2021 United States state capitol protests. They are about the same topic. Brinerat (talk) 14:52, 17 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The threats are to all 50 U.S. states in addition to the national Capitol, so this article incorrectly focuses on only a portion of the planned event. Your infobox states that as well, contrary to the focus of the rest of your article. ɱ (talk) 16:42, 17 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It appears an editor added that to the article’s infobox in the past few minutes, but the original focus of this article was the threat posed to state capitols per the FBI. If you believe it would be more appropriate for a single article to cover both the state capitol and U.S. capitol violence, I would now support merging 2021 United States state capitol protests into 2021 United States capitol protests.
