About Me

[edit]

I reside in Chesapeake, Virginia, but am originally from Henryville, Indiana (just north of Louisville Kentucky). I teach Information Systems Maintenance and Naval Tactical Command Support System at CID Dam Neck.

I mostly edit articles that deal in some way with the military (especially US Navy), motorcycles/motorcycling, or my other interests. However, I do quite a lot of minor edits wherever and whenever I find them (spelling, grammar, vandalism reverting).

I hate vandalism. I don't understand the necessity for people to vandalize Wikipedia. If you scoff at the fact that Wikipedia is "an open database full of inaccuracies," then either a) help out or b) go f&$k yourself. Editors are trying to do a noble thing, by collecting humanity's knowledge and compiling it into one central source. Don't hinder it. The type of person that would vandalize a Wikipedia page is the same type of person who scribbles on bathroom walls or writes in library books; narrowminded, self-centered, immature brats.

Sometimes I do get a little passionate, especially regarding my personal interests. I have a VERY stubborn streak in me, but I try and keep it in check. I am a member of the Libertarian Party, and feel very strongly about such Libertarian issues. I can't help it, I feel that there are too many "controls" in our lives. If it doesn't hurt your fellow man or society as a whole, then it should be legal. I am against seatbelt and helmet laws, the war on drugs, gun control laws, anti-abortion laws, government handouts, chronic welfare families and the welfare state, illegality of prostitution, etc etc ad nauseum.

Regardless of my own passions and biases, I try to adhere to NPOV.
