Why does the introduction describe this as a men's tournament, and list only the winners for the men's events, when everything else -- the chart of results and the main text -- lists women's events and winners? This became especially noticeable when the Nov 12 2013 "Did you know" feature listed two of the women winners as the first winners of an open tennis championship. : Fixed. The original article consisted of only the men's events (singles and doubles). When the women's events and the mixed doubles were added to the article the lede should have been updated accordigly. Thanks for pointing this out.--[[User:Wolbo|Wolbo]] ([[User talk:Wolbo|talk]]) 11:35, 12 November 2013 (UTC)

Men's tournament?

Why does the introduction describe this as a men's tournament, and list only the winners for the men's events, when everything else -- the chart of results and the main text -- lists women's events and winners? This became especially noticeable when the Nov 12 2013 "Did you know" feature listed two of the women winners as the first winners of an open tennis championship. Fixed. The original article consisted of only the men's events (singles and doubles). When the women's events and the mixed doubles were added to the article the lede should have been updated accordingly. Thanks for pointing this out.--Wolbo (talk) 11:35, 12 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
