Development

"Let There Be Love" is one of many ballads she has released in the German speaking countries. This is the least successful to date.

Reception

The song was well received by critics. Melanie hoped that the song wold be a hit like Liebe Ist Alles, but the single went poorly and did not do anything for "The Sea" in the charts.

Music video

In the music video Melanie walks through a German street by the sea. The video shows different couples making love to each other. Even though the video was a low budget, there were some special effects like that the names of her fans that seem to be couples appeared on a wall she sung in front of.

Formats and track-listings

Charts

With poor promotion and airplay the song did not chart in any of the countries it was released as a single. Anyway it climbed the top 100 chart in Germany for a few days.
