Strahoninec is a village and municipality in Međimurje County, Croatia. In the 2001 census, the municipality had a population of 2,728. A total of 2,645 people living in the municipality identified themselves as Croats during the census.
Strahoninec is the only village in the municipality. It is a suburban village located on the southern outskirts of Čakovec, the county seat and largest city of Međimurje County, with the city's centre located around three kilometres from the village. Also part of the municipality is Poleve, a small village of just a few houses, located just over a kilometre outside Strahoninec. For census purposes, it is considered part of Strahoninec rather than a separate village.
