Brian Love (born December 12, 1973) is an African-American actor. Originally from Lorain, Ohio he currently resides in both Miami, Florida and New York City. He has performed in the Kodak Theater in Los Angeles, on Broadway, on National and International Tours, and regionally.
[edit] Roles On Broadway, he is currently a swing and Simba understudy in The Lion King.[1] [2] He also originated the same role on the National Tour. He has also played the role of Benjamin Coffin III in both the First and Second National Tours of RENT, where he performed both in the United States and in Tokyo, Japan. He also was a featured ensemble member in The Ten Commandments at the Kodak Theater, starring Val Kilmer, Nita Whitaker, and Adam Lambert.[3] Regionally, he has been a Guest Artist with the Great Lakes Theater Festival in the show Brother Can You Spare A Dime, played Jim in Big River at Cain Park Theater, been a swing with the cabaret show The All Night Strut, and has played Valentin in Kiss of the Spiderwoman and the "Ken Page" role in Ain't Misbehavin' at The Beck Center in Lakewood, Ohio.
[edit] Personal life Love is married to Shawn Burnside, whom he met while on tour with the national tour of The Lion King. They have a young daughter named Cyan (pronounced "sigh-ANN").
